Hello. We are Marcus and Christiane from Germany and we welcome you to Yetiland. Yetiland is our fantastic place and a synonym for the beauty of nature and culture. Here peaceful beings live amidst beautiful landscapes, impressive mountains, powerful waters and rustic forests. We love scenarios like this not only in our imagination, but also in the many beautiful places our earth has to offer. We like to keep them as pictorial memories. By taking pictures while traveling we are able to combine two of our biggest passions: the love to nature and the curiosity for other cultures.

Travel photography: Our mix of landscape, wildlife and culture

With our travel photography we include many genres such as landscape photography and wildlife photography. We summarize street photography including modern and historical architecture and portrait photography under the term cultural photography. This creates interesting photo reports and documentation of various topics.

Time is life

We try to travel and discover the world as much as possible. To capture these impressions and emotions is a big part of our life journey. In addition to landscapes and cultural scenarios we are evenly fascinated to watch animals in the wild – these are moments full of originality. Most of our pictures were taken on journeys, where we only had little time, sometimes just this one short moment for a special photo. Other than professional photographers, who eventually come back to the same spot or invest more time in a picture, we never travel to the same place twice to see as much as we can of the world.

Travelling leads to peace

Through many long distance hiking trails we have got to know different regions und because of a lot of mountain tours around the highest and most beautiful mountains in Europe the alps have became our second home. Especially the last few years we have collected impressions. We think cosmopolitanism so being open to the world with its cultural differences creates a deep understanding of how people interact with each other. Being open combines curiosity, understanding, tolerance, acceptance and the love to life. Cosmopolitanism is the prerequisite for peace between people. We believe in the power of travelling.

Our photo equipment: Nikon Z

We use the mirrorless Nikon Z - system with different cameras and lenses.
For people who look for a reasonable and good starting model for travel photography and as an allround camera we can recommend the Nikon Z50 II for APS-C in combination with the NIKKOR Z DX 18–140 mm 1:3,5–6,3 VR lens. A great price-permomance-ratio in the field of full-frame cameras with an allround-lens offers the Nikon Z 6II with the NIKKOR Z 24–120 mm 1:4 S lens.
